The Story Behind Our Company Name:
Our company name, LilyBear, has a special origin story. It all started when our founder went through some devastating personal losses, including the company she worked for (G1) shutting down. During her unexpected break, she decided to adopt a puppy. Weeks of searching for the right puppy yielded nothing, until one day, a pop-up site caught her attention. Within an hour of browsing the site, she stumbled upon a pup named “G1”, which felt like a sign of serendipity. She decided to rename the adorable pup LilyBear. LilyBear became more than just a pet; she represented a new beginning and a source of comfort during a difficult time. She marked the beginning of a new chapter. Two years later, the owner took another bold step and launched her own business, aptly naming the business LilyBear- a tribute to her furry companion that had brought her immense joy and symbolized a fresh start & LilyBear Landscape was brought to life. Today, LilyBear represents more than just a company name- it embodies the spirit of new beginnings, the power of resilience and representation of the deep bond between humans and animals.
As Landscapers, we come across a wide range of wildlife and pets while working on various properties everyday. Its wonderful that we are able to interact with so many different animals! Dogs, of course, are often eager to greet landscapers (and to help us dig, spread mulch, or water). The other animals we meet however, like frogs, toads, birds, and snakes are a bit more shy! Raccoons, rabbits, and deer can be quite facinating to observe, and horses are always majestic. We hope you enjoy these photos of the many animals we have met on our job sites.

Don Mosley has occasionally been called upon to perform stunt work, and these experiences, while valuable, have solidified Don Mosley’s preference for roles that prioritize character development and storytelling over physical stunts. Don Mosley therefore approaches stunt work sparingly and only when it aligns with the needs of the production.
